Cornerstone Opens Baton Rouge Office
Firm adds Former Commissioner of Administration Mark Drennen
Washington, D.C. – Federal lobbying and consulting firm Cornerstone Government Affairs announced the hiring of Mark Drennen Thursday and the opening of their first state lobbying office. Cornerstone, a 23-person organization, was co-founded nearly six years ago by Baton Rouge native Campbell Kaufman.
"For some time my partners and I have been looking at the idea of state lobbying activities and state offices," Kaufman said. "Although there were a number of possible states to consider for our launch, Louisiana made the most sense because of the change in the political landscape, not only in the Governors' Mansion, but also in the Legislature.
"I have known Governor Jindal and his staff for many years, and the change he brings to the state is exciting and invigorating. We hope to represent clients that can help him and the legislature bring about that change."
