Joe's Bio

Joe Barton came to Cornerstone Government Affairs after several years of service as a Legislative Assistant for former Speaker of the House, John Boehner (R-OH). Joe’s areas of concentration included defense, homeland security, foreign affairs, the judiciary and veterans’ affairs issues.

Joe is a member of the Defense & Intelligence, Homeland Security and Transportation & Infrastructure practice groups at Cornerstone. He guides a range of law enforcement, criminal justice, transportation and association clients on the development and implementation of legislative, funding and political strategies.

Joe has volunteered at the Washington Jesuit Academy and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe has been involved in campaigns in Ohio and Pennsylvania at the local, state and federal level.

Joe, a native of Pennsylvania, holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Pennsylvania State University.
