Dan's BioDan Nesvet joined Cornerstone in May 2017 and serves as a senior associate on the National Security Team, supporting the firm’s defense, cybersecurity and technology clients. As a senior associate, he assists in issue monitoring, conducts policy research and analysis, and facilitates legislative advocacy and outreach. His areas of expertise include defense appropriations and authorizations, Department of Defense policy and legislative analysis.
Dan is pursuing a master’s degree in Security Studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, with a concentration in U.S. National Security Policy. In recognition of both his work at Cornerstone and academic pursuits, he was awarded a Bryce Harlow Fellowship, which is awarded to part-time students working full-time that exhibit ethics and integrity in the field of government relations.
Prior to becoming an associate, Dan completed an internship with Cornerstone’s Washington, D.C. office and now helps manage the internship program. Prior to his internship with the firm, Dan interned with Sen. Ed Markey’s (D-MA) office in the Fall of 2016 and worked primarily with the Senator’s foreign policy team. He also completed internships with The Henry Jackson Society while studying abroad in London in the Spring of 2015, and in the Massachusetts State Legislature for Rep. David Linsky’s office in the Summer of 2014.
Dan is a Massachusetts native and graduated in May 2016 from Colby College with a double major in government and history.
